Amazing progress NSC from July 04 - > July 05 :D
They can't beat TSC. For last six months, TSC has progressed, moved backwards and what not, ultimately still stuck at last week of June 2007.
Also, I am wondering. CIS mentioned 15 months estimated time period to process 485 filed during VB gate. (this was in one of the recent visa bulletin) Isn't that 15 months long over by November-2008????? My 485 has not even an LUD since filed in July 2007, I am sure many others are in same boat.

Hi,
I'm considering relocating back to India after getting my EAD since I don't know how long it's going to take to actually get the I-485 approved. My questions are:
1) Is it possible to continue to keep my I-485 application active if I relocate to India and work at the India office of the same company that filed my green card?
2) Is it possible to continue to keep my I-485 application active if I relocate to India and work for a company other than the one that filed my green card?
3) Lets say I move back to India after getting the green card, is it enough to simply enter the US once a year to keep my green card active? Can I apply for citizenship after 5 years of having the green card, even though I haven't resided in the US for those 5 years?
I'd really appreciate it if someone could please answer these questions for me.
Thanks.

Give atleast 1-2 months for booking the appointment. It was a harrowing experience getting an appointment to the point where my fingers were aching. Also add in time for the Canada visa. We went to Canada consulate in DC for the Visa.

but, the title of your thread sure sounded like an AD. You could have titled it as "Need advice on H2-B non immigrant visa" or something like that..

Remember to get a MS in Computer Science you have to complete a few prerequisites else no University would offer you the degree.
If your Prevailing Wage Requirement states the minimum requirement is MS in CS (and/or experience) you should be good.

Wall Street Journal has a article about the Greenspan's testimony. The comments seem to be taken over by the anti's. Please comment if you can.

Courtesy notice will clearly say it is a courtesy notice. If you are sure it is H1b approval, then you have to leave the country and get it stamped before your current I94 expires.
You cannot wait to get it stamped until you travel outside. Someone said so earlier, so I want to clarify that it is not correct.
What you received by mail is a courtesy notification that your case is approved, with the space for I-94 is blank. The original H1 Approval notice with I-94 will be sent to the lawyer. You may wait for a week or two.

My I-486 Receipt Notice was lost in mail. So I don't have the Receipt notice to send.
This is for an EAD Renewal.
Is it ok if I don't send the I-485 Receipt copy ?

Can you not get a letter from your church/temple in India?
Mnay people in India have only the church/temple marraige registration. THEN THEY REGISTER THEIR MARRAIGE (MAY BE AFTER FEW YEARS) IN THE SU-REGISTRARS OFFICE.
Such a marriage letter, affidavits and your new US marraige certificate shoudl work fine. If an rfe COMES, YOU MIGHT NEED TO EXPLAIN WHY YOU GOT Married in US agian.
Excerpt from US Embessay
Religious Ceremonies
In India, a religious marriage ceremony is considered a legal marriage. However, for Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and Buddhists, the certificate issued by the temple or gurudwara may not be legally sufficient for all purposes. Rather, members of these religions may seek a formal marriage certificate from the Registrar of Marriages. If one of the parties is a U.S. citizen, the registrar may request a no objection letter from the U.S. Embassy or Consulate, and also may request proof of termination of any previous marriages, before a marriage certificate will be issued.
If the parties are married in a Christian, Muslim, Parsi, Jewish, Bahai or other religious ceremony, the certificate issued by the religious authority (e.g., the churchs marriage certificate, the mosques nikah nama, etc.) generally is sufficient proof of marriage, and no certificate from the marriage registrar is necessary.

Thanks guys for all your responses....
I got the paperwork from my attorney for my wife's 485 as they want us to be ready so that if dates are current, we just mail the paperwork without having to start at that time.
However, my wife is pregnant and i am not sure if medical examinations are possible. What are my options ?
Complete medicals without the vaccines, etc which cannot be taken during pregnancy. The Civil surgeon shoould make a note on the medical report that the applicant is pregnant and so medical is incomplete.
When your 485 is picked up for processing, an RFE will be issued and then she can complete the rest.
