How to find associated SOC code with DOT code (DOT code is on LC certification, OCC code , Ind COde and OCC title is on certified LC)? I tried to find my case in the MS Access databases (from year 2001 to 2007) but could not find my case at all. My PD is May 2004, and LC certified March 2006(was sent to Backlog Center in Dallas), which MS Access database do I need to look into?
My title on LC is programmer analyst (OCC code= 030.162-014), read thru the forum replies, found that programmer analyst have OCC code= 030.162-014 and SOC code=15-1031, most of them found their SOC code from MS Access database(some found in their Certified LC??? ). I am presuming my SOC code to be 15-1031, but wanted to confirm that. I am debating on invoking AC21, but need to make certain SOC code matches with future employer (future employer gave me job code as 15-1031) as my future title will be totally different (instead of programmer analyst, it will be IT Business Specialist).
Any help/hint will be highly appreciated.

At least, get a letter from your employer stating they won't revoke your I-140. If they agree to do so, then file a G-28 appointing a new attorney of your choice; however, if you are happy with your current one and find them affordable, let them know and ensure they will handle your case independent of your employer.

the G-28 is only going to help for I-485 point of view.
The problem the OP is facing is that there is a potential for an RFE on the I-140. That is the employers petition and presumably the employers lawyer, and they are not going to change that. Until the I-140 is done and approved, a change of employer in any case where there is a potential for I-140 RFE is extremely risky. Not worth taking a chance in my opinion.

The only catch could be on the MMR. MMR needs two vaccinations. The two vaccines nmeed to have a 1 month gap. So if you take one and to medical exam, they will force you take the 2'nd one right there. Ofcourse they don't care about the gap since they want to make money

I had sent my passport for renewal and Indian Embassy lost it. It had my I-94 and US visa. They issued a new passport. But the new passport read old passport cancelled and returned.

Any thing related to EB immigration, whether it be H1B cap/VB/Retrogression, it has been spreading like wild fire and traveling faster than the speed of wire. On one occasion, I felt that we and lawyers are probably giving more input to the USCIS. Some rumor/educated guess kicks off some where and it ends up in the lap of USCIS. Like H1B cap. People predicted and predicted non stop for 2 months that it will be over on day one. Its not a prediction. It was a forced situation to some extent. This whole VB revision is similar, if it happens

I had 485 interview a month back (previously at the national benefits center) at the local USCIS office. The interview went fine except that they gave me an RFE asking for additional documents verifying employment. Since then I submited documents to the local office a 3 weeks back. Today my supervisor got a call from USCIS Anti Fraud Detection (homeland security) and they left a voice mail that they need to verify my immigration status.
Is this normal? Is there something i need to worry about?
My record is pretty straighforward. I am with the same employer since 2002 first on H1b and then EAD on a permanent postion and no gap in employment and never out of status
My supervisor called back but went to voicemail and left a general message
Good for you that your case is straight forward , you were never out of status and you are indeed working for the company that had sponsored your GC. It is good for every one that they are trying to weed out the bad apples. That would mean , speedier movement of dates for genuine cases :)
Nothing to worry if your case is clean. There were couple of other similar on site interviews as reported earlier on this forum..

why are we assuming that the parents are illegals?? as far as I know, it has not been reported anywhere in the media that the parents were here illegally. if it has, please post relevant links.
as for being a legal resident, do the rules state that you need to be a legal resident for immigration benefits or tax benefits?
For IRS purposes, 180 days or more on a valid non immig. worker status and you are a legal resident.....

LEGAL/ILLEGAL terms are borrowed from the immigration law realm and I believe that it was the intent of the contest rules. I also agree with the point, that TRU were just following the rules and they should not have changed their stance on the matter.

Could you answer this? We applied in march for 140/485. I have EAD, AP and FP done.The problem is that I don't remember seing the I-140 application among the papers we had to sign, and nothing just for my husband to sign, which would be normal, since he's the primary applicant. I thought at the time that I-140, being thru the employer doesn't have to be filed personally? Do you think it's possible the I-140 was accepted by mistake without the signature or should I enquire more and maybe my husband signed it at work and doesn't remember?

After I-485 pending for more than 180 days and with approved I-140 I changed the job. But the job is exactly similar the pay is almost 35% greater than that is in Labour. Will that create problems? I have not send AC21 filled to USCIS since my lawyer and friends suggested it not maditory but we can argue on getting the RFE showing papers that the new job has same job duties.
