If you think that John Siracusa (or citations thereto) is a troll, then your ignorance is breathtaking. (The absence of your actually addressing the issue at hand in lieu of ad hominem attacks is conspicuous and dubious.)
Did I miss something? I was talking about Eidorian. And I don't care if he's secretly Steve Jobs. A troll is a troll.
If I hung around on a Nokia-centric site and posted CONSTANTLY about Nokia sucking nowadays and made negative posts on virtually every single article people would label me a troll because that's what I'd be.

Probably not real. I really hope the next iPhone has a camera flash, and I think the camera flash should be the Apple logo on the back. Wouldn't that be sick????

So I have not seen my 360 on my network since Friday :(
That leads me to believe they either noticed the wireless adapter was connecting to a network and unplugged it or they got rid of the system. The investigator came back out today and said they need more evidence before they can get a warrant and he doesn't want to knock on the doors of the two houses I think it could be in case they do still have it and decide to ditch it when the cops are on to them.
So basically, I don't have much hope any more of getting my system back. I am thinking of calling the cops and having them just knock on the door and see what happens. Maybe the people are stupid and have the system sitting in plain view and the cops will notice it when they try to question the neighbors.
I'm going to check out my local EBGames again and see if they have anyone that traded in any of my games or even the system.

Isn't it interesting how a seemingly intentional act (active user tracking) changes to a "bug" once it's existence is published in the news media? :D
How do you know it's "intentional" and not a "bug"..??

Anyone get his new album yet? I haven't ... I need to pick up a copy.

Your only role models should be the ones your personally know.
What if you don't know any role models (e.g. you are poor?)
Your only role models should be the ones your personally know. Teaching "gay history" is more about promoting homosexuality than helping children.
I would presume that "gay history" just means that when you cover Leonardo da Vinci you point out that he was gay.

I felt that before the Mac App Store opened that the Mac software market was reaching a critical mass and that developers found it increasingly attractive.
Part of the previous appeal of the Mac software market to developers was the fact that Apple customers would accept increased costs for Mac software titles just as Apple charges a premium for its hardware because "it is worth it." Developers could coattail onto this and therefore ask higher prices for Mac software as compared to equivalent titles on other OS's.
Once the Mac App Store opened, that premium pricing advantage was wiped out overnight. Apple customers now expect to pay less just as the mobile App Store has reduced app pricing -- and in many cases expecting equivalent prices from the iPhone to the Mac desktop.
Do not underestimate this effect on developer's bottom lines.

I have lived in 4 different rural markets and regularly travel between them. Currently, in NC, Verizon is everywhere since they bought out a couple providers like Rural Cellular and I forget the other one.
When I left Verizon, they had full bar 3G coverage at my house. They had just upgraded about 3 months before I went with an iPhone. With AT&T, I need to drive almost 20 miles to even find 3G coverage.
With Verizon, I had a Palm Treo 700 and it was very rare to see even the analog signal at all.
If Apple would make the iPhone for Verizon, i'd switch back in a blink, even if I had to pay early termination, it's that bad. I typically lose between 20-40% of my calls. There is several dead zones too, that I can't even drive down without losing it.

http://www.advocate.com/News/Daily_News/2011/03/04/Ohio_AntiLabor_Bill_Goes_Antigay/
Ohio lawmakers are making headlines with a much-discussed bill challenging labor unions, but Think Progress has uncovered an antigay section of the bill defining marriage as being between a man and a woman.
From Sec. 3101.01 of the bill, via Towleroad.com: A marriage may only be entered into by one man and one woman. Any marriage between persons of the same sex is against the strong public policy of this state. Any marriage between persons of the same sex shall have no legal force or effect in this state and, if attempted to be entered into in this state, is void ab initio and shall not be recognized by this state. The recognition or extension by the state of the specific statutory benefits of a legal marriage to non-marital relationships between persons of the same sex or different sexes is against the strong public policy of this state. Any public act, record or judicial proceeding of this state, as defined in section 9.82 of the Revised Code, that extends the specific statutory benefits of legal marriage to non-marital relationships between persons of the same sex or different sexes is void.
Ohio has already banned marriage equality, which Think Progresss Zaid Jilani says makes this language either redundant and spiteful or aimed at preventing the recognition of equal benefits to same-sex couples by means other than marriage.
This is the language tacked onto the anti-union bill.
Fivepoint- I assume you're OK with this since you got yours.

Edit - I kinda want a McRib now...

Would have made the app myself, but I assumed it would have been rejected. It's moves like this that make me dislike apple.

Oh, no...I don't think much of anyone expects there to be live coverage. They did away with that some time ago. But the QT archived video should be up within a few hours after the keynote ends.
Right... I am talking about the "archive" video that they host after the event... I SO miss the live feeds (I remember when they canceled them)!!!
The reason for the post here was in hopes that there would be others like me... enough to warrant a page, link, RSS, e-mail, something of the sort. Guess not. No biggie.

The Volt should sell for no more than $20,000. What a ripoff!!!!
It is going to sell for that much above MSRP, according to some dealers.
So expect to fork out 50-60k for a Volt the first 6-18 months.
It is the new New Beetle, Mini, Mercedes SLK, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Smart Car, etc. which all had some markups the first year.

I am not surpised by that design. A lot of phones on the market are being released right now as single piece aluminum. Take for example the htc desire, legend and Motorola devior. All 3 are single piece aluminum phones so it is no surprised apple is coping that design as the style is becoming popular again.

You completely missed the point. Let me be more specific for comprehension purposes. There is no way to teach the persecution of all peoples throughout the history of our planet with the way the school system is today. So where should the line be drawn? You never answered the question. Do gays deserve more attention than say slavery or the holocaust? It appears to me that you feel that a select few individuals, that may have been gay, deserve more attention than the plight of entire civilizations or race of people?
No one is saying it is, except for you. Nothing is being placed above anything else. There is no order of importance.
And this is not ignorance. Pointing out the sexuality of a person that made a contribution to society is irrelevant. Completely and utterly irrelevant! Do people remember Einstein for being a Jew or as the father of modern physics? You would prefer he was remembered as a Jew first?
I'd prefer he be remembered for both, as they were both part of him. It's important for gay kids, like other kids, to know there are people just like them who have done great things. They're called role models. Why that bothers you is beyond me.
As for me afraid of learning? Don't presume anything about anyone. I can make an educated guess by your spelling and grammar that you have an education. You are intelligent. We simply view this differently.
Yes indeed. But why we differ is puzzling to me.

The DMCA changed that, and until it's tested in court anything where encryption is used or even potentially used is not "safe" to reverse engineer in the US.

Not "anything where encryption is used." But if something is encrypted, it can only be reverse engineered under 1201(f):

So both of us (mine made in May ( 2A6211XXXXX) and yours in June 2006 (2A6241XXXXX) have the old model ... So I guess no one can be sure of what they are getting, no matter how or where they buy it.
The following was posted on www.barefeats.com last Friday:
"August 18th, 2006 -- New Apple 23" Cinema impresses. We ordered a new 23" Cinema display for our Mac Pro 3GHz. This new model (numbers starting with 2A6281 or higher) is brighter with better contrast than the previous model. Best of all, the pink hue on grey screens is gone."

I think the issue with people finding it slow is there lack of understand of what Aperture is actually doing. And also not really knowing how to use Aperture to it's full potential.
Some Mac people are like cat owners - the cat (Apple) is never at fault. :D
Aperture can be very slow, especially on older hardware. I run it on a 1.25GHz Powerbook G4 with 1.5 gigs of RAM. The time required for most actions is acceptable, but none of them are speedy - Lightroom is noticably faster. One action that basically is unusable on my computer - rotating by an arbitrary angle.
I am quite sure I know pretty much exactly what Aperture is doing.
Now when someone reports that the program is dog-slow on a dual-G5, then I'd agree there is something else going on there. But there is a decent range of officially-supported hardware that is, in truth, somewhat underpowered for Aperture. Apple obviously made some decisions regarding the hardware based more on marketing than on the technical specs.
That all said, I am looking forward to trying out 1.5 on my Powerbook! (as soon as I get it back from Apple for yet another in-warranty white-spot LCD replacement... got it in to them 5 days before "our" 3rd anniversary) I think this was a pretty good announcement, and gotta wonder about the unrealistic expectations some people have (WHAT? No 5GHz MacBook Pro with 20" monitor?).
