They certainly have a minimalist approach compared to Bodyguardz, et al ... they send you the film, then you have to mix your own solution to keep your hands from sticking to it.
I've no doubt they offer a quality product, but for $55, they ought to send along a couple of spray applicators!

you usually should be able to record straight to a dv camera. play around with it though, plug it in and go to record mode.

I'm not sure if they store the actual text of the message or not, but I know I can go to AT&T's online account management and see the time and number texted on my bills going back at least a year.

Well there aren't really many other stores on the high street that have entire glass fronts. Most of them have roller shutters, at least where I am. Maybe that's something they might have to introduce. Bit ugly but will discourage robberies!

No, that pic is way pre WW2. That's around WW1 by the looks of it.
Uhhh... The USS Missouri (BB-11) was commissioned in 1900 and decommissioned in 1919. She was part of the Great White Fleet, and had her cage masts fitted somewhere around 1909.
Ship's names get reused, y'know. I'm not talking about the Missouri you're thinking of.
;)

Sorry, but you are quite mistaken. It is clearly a conspiracy!
Don't be silly. Tin foil will shield signals on CDMA networks, not GSM.

The zune was dead in the water from the beginning. The only thing they had over iPod is the fact that the 30GB was... well... 30GB. The normal Zune models always seemed to break more than the iPod Classic and the iPod Nano.
The Zune HD came out when the 3rd generation iPod touch was out I believe (If not, then the iPhone 3GS, and we all know the touch is later bumped up to match the phone specs), yet had worse specs than even the 1st generation iPod touch. If they really wanted to compete with Apple, that definitely wasn't the way to do it.

It was brought up in another thread, but I didn't want to completely hijack it for this purpose.
I spent a little (very little) time adding some links and information to the Cocoa FAQ. I changed the link text from the forum head to "How do I get started programming on the Mac?" to hopefully guide people there more readily, as newcomers may not know what Cocoa means.
I'd encourage everyone to beef up the FAQ to include more iPhone specific examples, and links to any helpful tutorials, etc.
I think it would be good to have a "one-stop shop" for newcomers instead of us posting essentially the same answers to(snip)
yeah, that was likely the guides original intent. so, keep improving the "permanent" rumors FAQ/guide pages. When "someone" replies with extensive info, hopefully "someone" (someone else?) will review that from perspective of adding the reply as a writeup for the guides.
one labor-saving suggestion: link out to the "usual" references (wikipedia comes to mind).
preferably don't "repeat" info that's well-covered at wikipedia. instead contribute blobs of prose which are original, rather than "sourcable" info (that info should be in wikipedia, since "sourcability" is a wikipedia requirement, per encyclopedia tradition).
Of course, complete topics which wikipedia ignores have the same appropriateness for rumors guide.

We're professionals, and have been doing it for 8 years, and it probably took us 2-250 hours to produce that site :) There are some dynamic aspects to the portfolio and a lot of jquery.

My brother was a pc fanatic and so did my dad. until 1 day my brother was fed up with repairing all ours pcs and finaly bit the bullet after he talked to my cusin who loves macs. he brought 17" i mac (not the intel version) i think the g5 one this put my brother in a lot of deph but he always say it was worth it. I started my gcse 2 years ago and needed my own pc for course work so my dad and brother piched in to buy me my own pc. it work for a week or so and started chrashing i cope for this for 2 years until i finaly plucked up the courage to by a mac by this time my brother had bought another mac and my dad got the old 1. so i got the best 1 i could but with out going crazy i got a 24" intel imac. I love it so much ive had it for 2 months now and not had it chrash once macs are 5 times better than pcs. There is only 1 side which took me so long to make my decision that was my games, i have to say it is a bit disapointing the amount of games for macs and it take ages for games to come out on macs after they have been released for pc if they come out at all im having problems getting my old games to work on windows vista on boot camp i think that just shows how rubbish microsoft realy are

It doesn't even really look that great. You have to purchase an entire kit (hd, kb, mouse, DVD,...) just to run linux on there :(

I thought it was aweful. The acting was bad. The actors timing was all off, but it is a new show so maybe it will take a few episodes for them to get in a good rthym

Can anyone give an estimate, based off of previous releases, as to how long it'll take for a public release? I can't be the only one itching to jailbreak my iPad2.
I'm no expert, but it's a user land exploit which is in the firmware itself. Jailbreaks on other iDevices are hardware which means Jailbreakable for life.
It's most likely going to be at jailbreakme.com, which is a .PDF used to exploit. So I guess a few days at most. It's not going to be a program like Redsn0w or pwnagetool.
So it should be pretty quick.
I don't understand why everyone is getting so mad. It got moved, chill out.

Was reading the article on the Dell monitor posted and it mentioned a new display connector - ughhh!
I don't know if this is good or bad, only that I have 2 Apple monitors with ADC connectors. Monitors are still good but I am running out of computers which they can connect to!

No wifi issue on either my iPad 1 or 2
What band is your wifi? b? g? n?
What channel are you using?
Have you done a frequency traffic survey?
Have you tried changing the channel of your router?
Do you have a 2.4 GHz wireless telephone? Is it one of those "broad spectrum" phones that keeps scanning the various channels, using the one with the least traffic?

About my post above:
Woz' new company just acquired, this month, the following company:
Jazz Semiconductor is a US based pure-play semiconductor wafer foundry that serves customers targeting wireless, optical networking, power management, storage, aerospace/defense and other high-performance applications.
Sounds interesting!
