I have an Edison and a Richard Feynman that I know are 100% originals and they do not have a copyright line on them. Neither does my Picasso, my Joan Baez, my Ghandi, or my Hitchcock. Only the ones I have gotten from Germany on eBay have the copyright line on them....the Buzz Aldrins, and a set of 6 of the 22x28" posters all have the copyright line on them.

Wow, and nobody could have seen this one coming. Proof that the demand is low: I've never even seen one!

It seems that iPhone users have higher standards.
You don't see national outrage for recent Verizon nation-wide outage. Where's the outrage that Verizon do not support concurrent voice and data on its "3G" network?
As to iPhone, in the suburbs it's great. In city hotspots, the network gets slower from lots of iPhone users and not-in-my-backyard attitude when it comes to network extension. Verizon won't be immune from it.

Maybe try resetting your PRAM (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238) too, because it's kinda fun. :p
Agreed, start the machine up with P, R, Alt & the Apple key held down (simultaneously) until you hear the startup tone twice the release any carry on booting. Does it still do it after this?

I got a deal from DreamHost that TOTALLY sounded to be good to be true. They are an awesome company, though and have the greatest support. PM me for more details.

My character Mac is back again. I tried to have the character look like he was writing "1,000,000", hope the illusion is complete, lol. I used my PowerBook's trackpad and Macromedia Flash MX.
I hope you all enjoy my first avatar submission.

Generally, the times messages were sent, and sometimes the messages themselves, are stored for around two years for legal reasons, after which they're deleted. That's the case with text messages AFAIK, anyway.

A very nice fake. Unfortunately, you'd have to change the CPU type from ARM7 to ARM6 on all the binary files then write the proper driver kext for the GPU.

I've been following 256gb SSD prices for a while, and I've seen hardly any movement.
Also, I know shortly before the end of there was a lot of chatter about Intel's entry into the market and how prices would soon go down.
From what I've seen, none of that has materialized.
Does anyone have any ideas or insights about this? I'm personally only concerned w/ drives around 220gb and up.
Of course, my motivation to write this is that I'm dying to buy one but have been trying to hold out... :) Can't hold on much longer...
thanks much
They have been going down. I've watched OWC's site each month and prices have been steadily decreasing.

take it easy on them, they saved apple's ass in the 90's. if it weren't for them apple would have gone 'rupt. they also have to worry about a thousand different hardware configurations whereas os x 10 has to worry about the mac line.. give 'em a break. (not an ms fanboy)
That is not strictly true. The MS purchase of Apple shares was little more than a token gesture to show that MS still believed in the company. It was good publicity for Apple, but it really did fall far short of 'saving their asses'.

Using GSP and Iphoto only makes sense if the photo's have the GSP location information as part of the photo. So that mean that the Camera taking the picture has a GSP reciever in it, which is great outside, but GPS does not work indoors

Thanks. Is there a particular reason it did it though?
Who knows? I wouldn't worry about it, unless it happens frequently.

Hi everyone,
At the moment I'm developing a website and am hosting it on Webs for free (I'm very tight on money, saving for first car, new Mac etc) but this gives me a very limited amount of storage space and bandwidth. While it will be fine for a while I think it will run out reasonable fast as more and more content will go on the website.
My Idea is to host the bigger files (All .zip files for people to download) some where else and simply have a link to them on the website as I would have anyway.
This will obviously solve the problem of limited storage space, but will it also help to use less bandwidth? Or would hosting them with Webs not have used much anyway?

So first time mac user here, Ive decided to finally take the mac plunge from PC and it's been frustrating tonight I was wondering if I did the wrong thing.
I went on Tuesday to get the imac refresh and installed another 8gb of ram, the programs pop up extremely quick so I was very happy with that, however I would get random crashes with my safari while I'm surfing the web, whatever I figure I just needed to update safari.
I poped in my starcraft 2 disc and it gave me an error while installing, thought it was weird but then just went ahead to do a system update, after I install about 955mb worth of data it gives me a error during installation I was then a little worried, tried it again error occurred once again. I went to the apple support site to download the 10.6 manually, once again I get an error while trying to installing.
I went into app>disk utilities did a verify and it says hd is okay no need to repair anything, am I missing something? please help me last thing I want is a defective imac/hdd. I wanted this experience to be a good one from the get go.

No offense, but you should be doing your own research. The idea of writing a research paper is to, you know, research. Asking people on a forum for sources is taking the lazy way out.
Yes, I know. It was quite a lazy move, because as soon as I posted this, I began researching for quite some time.
Regardless, I am still interested in the amazing history of Apple.

It works without the Internet. When connected to the non-Internet network, do you see the little WiFi bars in the status menu and/or does the iPod get a proper IP address?
Yes I get the quarter round radiating bars plus a tick to the left of the network name. It actually seems to be staying with it now and not wandering off as it sometimes does.
As for IP address I have gone for a static one same as I did for the router that works - chose a slightly different actual IP address on the same subnet. Everything else the same as for the other router - not that it should matter - gateway, DNS etc should be irrelevant.
And if I ping the subnet it does recognize and ping itself
